Trish Connery teaches private and group dance lessons in West Hollywood and El Segundo (LAX) California.
Trish Connery is a dancer, teacher, competitor and judge based in the Los Angeles area.
Moving to Southern California from the small town of Bixby, Oklahoma, Trish discovered and fell in love with partner dancing almost 15 years ago and has been active in the partner dance community ever since.
Over the years and with the assistance of many wonderful teachers, partners and competitions (too many to list here), Trish has worked her way up through the dance ranks and is now a Champion/All-Star/Invitational level dancer with extensive performance and competition experience.
When she aspired to teach, she was fortunate enough to work with the legendary "teacher of teachers," Skippy Blair, and has logged hundreds of hours in Skippy's teacher training programs.
Country 2-Step was the very first partner dance that Trish learned, but she soon added West Coast Swing, Hustle, Nightclub 2-Step, Cha Cha, Salsa, Waltz and Foxtrot to her dance repertoire. She currently teaches all of these dances, and, for good measure, also does a lot of teaching, choreography and coaching for wedding couples preparing for that all-important "first dance."
In her spare time (of which there is not much!) Trish also writes, edits and publishes DanceChatter.com, a free e-newsletter with a focus on partner dances, covering a variety of topics. (Subscriptions to the e-newsletter are absolutely free, so drop Trish an e-mail if you'd like to sign-up!)
Currently Trish teaches private lessons in the El Segundo (near LAX) and West Hollywood California areas, as well as specialty workshops at various dance venues, events and conventions.
