Hey, folks…
Been a while since you’ve heard from me, I hope everyone is doing well out there in DanceLand?
It has been a busy month or so – in between Thanksgiving, attending the US Open Swing Dance Championships, and getting ready for Worlds…crazeeeee!
I was in Las Vegas last weekend attending and competing at the Las Vegas Dance Finale, one of the last events on the country circuit before Worlds. I competed in two different divisions and took 1st Place Overall in both divisions – I was pretty jazzed about that. Now it’s 22 days left before we leave for Worlds in January and my plan is to work my tushy off to make everything PERFECT as possible.
Here’s a video clip of my WCS in Vegas with my Pro/Coach, Ronnie DeBenedetta. Not only is Ronnie a top level Masters (the top ranking you can achieve on the UCWDC Country circuit) but he’s also one of the few dancers out there who also crosses over to the Swing circuit – he and his marvelous partner, Brandi Tobias, took 2nd in Classic division at the US Open – they are awesome and I get to dance with him!
Anyway, the video clip is fun, watch how he saves me from a costume malfunction at the 1:08 mark, it’s pretty darn funny and we didn’t even miss a beat. I’m also including one of my Nightclub clips from the same comp, enjoy!
