SOUTH BAY DANCE FLING RECAP
Many of you have asked how the South Bay Dance Fling went – Can I just say thank you to event directors Glenn and Sue Cravalho for a well-run event, and the dinner show was fantastic! Lots of acts, lots of variety – everything from ballroom to tap to cabaret – totally awesome!

I was scheduled to teach one of the first workshops of the weekend on Friday and because it was so early on the weekend schedule (1:00 pm on Friday) I had no idea how many people we’d get in the “Salsalicious Salsa” workshop. But we had a full floor, the group was fun and appreciative, the material went over well and it was a great way to kick off the weekend.

I competed in Pro/Pro Division later that same afternoon with my Pro, Ronnie DeBenedetta. I competed in 6 dances (5 routines, 1 lead/follow) and I think my favorite dance of the day was my Country 2-Step, here is a link:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M1qgs8m1Eo

All in all it was a great weekend, I got lots of very positive comments and compliments on my dancing (yeah!!!) and I was very happy with how I did and with the event itself.
FREE-FREE-FREE WCS Classes in San Diego!
DanceChatter.Com comes to San Diego with 2 levels of West Coast Swing. To kick off these classes we are offering FREE Beginning and Intermediate WCS classes on Thursday, September 22nd at the Santee-Lakeside Elks Lodge. That’s totally FREE, zero bucks, nada, nada, nada! The official 6-Week Class Series begins the following week, Thursday, September 29th with the same line-up, class times, prices and address are listed below. WEDNESDAYS IN WESTWOOD
I am so pleased to be teaming up with the legendary Russell Adcock of LA Dance Experience in Westwood! Russell and I have been trying to coordinate schedules to find a time when I could come in and teach for him and we now have a start date! A new 6-week class series in Nightclub and Country 2-Step starts on Wednesday, September 28th! I have the utmost admiration and respect for Russell and have subbed at his studio in the past, so it is a real honor to be invited in to teach classes. Class times and studio address below.
